FASD ‘101’ (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders)

FASD is an umbrella term describing the range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy. Currently, statistics show that between 1 and 5 individuals in 100 are affected in some way by prenatal alcohol exposure. Staggering! In this workshop we will begin to understand the effects of alcohol on the fetus, the lifelong difficulties it can create for the individual across the lifespan and how to offer support to the whole family.
